I am NOT about politics, nor do I pay much attention to our government.

Why?

• because I can vote all I want, and they’ll still manipulate and decide what they think is “best” for us
• because what I voted for may never come to existence
• because it’s all a game to those in power (our government)
• because I refuse to listen to the government controlled media frenzy
• because I refuse to be a deliberate puppet in their embarrassing game
• because they’re ALL lies, with a little ounce or two of truth that’s been twisted and corrupted to the point of disgust and amazement
• and I could go on…

Yes, sadly I vote. But that’s no matter. Half the time we’re told one thing in campaign and then find we’ve voted in a monster, coward, wannabe celebrity, etc.

It amazes me how our government continues to make enemies in this world. What is it with these men in power! Don’t they have anything else better to do than look for a fight??

Are you all that denied in life that you need to take it out on the rest of us? Yes, us…because one of these scary days we will really get hit, and it will be due to your lack of TRUE peace finding.

I’m ashamed to call myself an American because of ALL of your antics (the Government) – past AND present. It’s a shame that all our country is known for (especially lately) is our “strong hand” and “policing ways.”

What’s it going to take to find a government that actually CARES about their people? (Oh, wait that’s my fantasy.)

Will there ever come a day when movies like “Borat” won’t be able to show the American people as bunch of ignorant rednecks? (I could not believe the people in that movie actually agreed with what Sasha’s character had to say!)

Will there come a day when community members in blogs, forums, etc. don’t slam our country’s name because of our governments actions? (Probably not in my lifetime. What about your children’s? Grandchildren?)

And yet many like me continue to go on about our lives, knowing we can’t change them, can’t vote in a “good guy” <–HA!, etc. And just go about our lives. We’re told we don’t care, etc. But I do care, I’m just not going to play into thinking I can do anything about things out of my control.

I am NOT my government. I am an American who does her damn best to treat everyone equally. I believe in equality, peace/disagreements, logic, reason, and yes…Global Warming.
